Delhi-based Muslim NGO Human Welfare Foundation gives school kit to children of Kanchan Kunj

New Delhi : A Delhi based NGO, Human Welfare Foundation, has given 120 school kits on 4th August 2013 to selected children of J. J. Colony, Kanchan Kunj, Madanpur Khadar.

Dr Manoj Pateria, Director of National Council for Science technology communication DST, Govt. of India, was chief guest of the programme. He said in his speech that promotion of education in the society should be our priority, through this noble effort HWF is trying its best for needy children.

The programme was presided by Rafeek Ahmed, General Secretary, HWF.

The school kits were given to children with joint efforts of other NGO of Delhi, Mitr Ek Sanjha Prayas.

Mitr Ek Sanjha Prayas surveyed the Kanchan Kunj area and identified the deserving children of J. J. Colony, Kanchan Kunj, Madanpur Khadar.

The school kit consisted of a bag with note book, Geometry box, Exam pad, color box, drawing etc. A moral story book was also part of the kit.

The effort is to encourage the children towards education and minimize the dropout rate of children. HWF has been providing school kit in northern states of India for last some years. This year, 6,500 school kits have been given in all the states of India.
