‘Madhya Pradesh is new destination of investment’

Bhopal: The Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that investors’ trust in the state has increased as a result of commitment to development and investor-friendly policies.

Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan reportedly said that Madhya Pradesh is being recognised in the country and abroad as the new destination of investment. He was holding discussions with industrialists at Pune (Maharashtra) on Wednesday (July 11, 2012).

It may be mentioned that Mr. Chouhan has taken a fresh initiative to have direct dialogue with industrial community for giving fillip to investment in the state. In this series, the Chief Minister held direct dialogue with industrial houses in Pune and invited them to invest in Madhya Pradesh. He informed industrial houses to prepare their investment proposals. The State Government will extend full cooperation to them.

Industrial houses lauded progressive outlook of the Chief Minister. On one hand Kirloskar Group lauded fast growing industrial infrastructure in the state and on the other hand, Patil Group praised fast growing economy of the state.

Sanjay Kirloskar of Kirloskar Group discussed expansion of existing investment and its existing unit. The Chief Minister said that Dewas can be included in Industrial Area Action Plan. DY Patil Group wishes to invest in Knowledge City, agriculture and industrial sectors.

Besides, discussions were also held on investment proposals regarding Acharpura Special Education Zone. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is committed to making available all facilities and resources for investment. He said that the State Government is promoting all such investments, which benefit people directly.

KBK Group held discussion about development of industrial and Technology Park at Indore jointly with Spain’s ITOM Group. Similarly, Sujlan Group acquainted the Chief Minister with its wish to establish wind energy farm in the state. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is encouraging wind energy under its Non-conventional Energy Policy.
Sancheti Group, which is working in orthopaedics and rehabilitation sector, discussed investment in health sector.

Additional Chief Secretary Industries P.K. Dash, TRIFAC Managing Director Arun Bhatt, Secretary to Chief Minister S. K. Mishra, MP Agro Managing Director Rakesh Shrivastava and representatives of industrial groups were also present on the occasion.
