AMU Department of Geology organizing course on "Basics of Remote Sensing, GIS and GPS"

Aligarh: The Department of Geology, Aligarh Muslim University is participating in the Satellite based Learning Program Course on "Basics of Remote Sensing, GIS and GPS" in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Indian Space Research Organization, Dehradun organized for research scholars, PG and undergraduate students.

The duration of course is from August 6 to October 17, 2012 and the classes shall be held in the Department of Geology from 4.00 pm to 5:30 pm from Monday to Friday. The participants will be felicitated with a certificate issued by the IIRS on the completion of the course.

Preference will be given to Ph.D. students working in the related field and the remaining seats will be offered to postgraduate and undergraduate students on ‘first come first serve’ basis. There is no course fee.

The interested students may apply on prescribed form available in the office of the Chairman of the Department of Geology and submit the same during working hours on or before July 24, 2012.
