CMPA calls for effective abolition of Child Labor

Centre for Media & Public Affairs (CMPA) observed 'World Day Against Child Labour' today (June 12, 2012) in Chennai. All those took part in the campaign organized by CMPA stressed the need to focus attention on the efforts needed to intervene and eliminate Child Labor. 

Participant appealed for effective measures to curb out the threatening social evil. CMPA's Executive President N.Thanigaimani, General Secretary S.Christopher, Vice President N.Shahjahan, Media Secretary Sam Robert and Academic Secretary N.Tirumurugan coordinated the campaign.

"CMPA considers Child Labour as a serious crime against humanity. We seriously appeals to everyone in media and communication industry to deeply realize the responsibility in eradicating child labour" said V.Venkat Raj, the National President.

As a part of the campaign against Child Labvor, CMPA released a Special Bulletin. Joint Secretary K.S.Rajasekar concluded the campaign.
