Shan-i-Syed-ul-Aulia conference concludes at Khanyar

Srinagar: Shan-i-Syed-ul-Aulia conference organised by Jammu and Kashmir Jamiat-i-Himayat-i-Islam Srinagar and chaired by Mir Syed Khalid Hassan Geelani concluded at Khanyar on March 26, 2012.

The scholars of high learning highlighted the life and times of great sufi saint Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA). The scholars said that the great muslim saints always reached out to the needy and poor, worked for resolution of their problems, character building with their preachings and working on ground.

The conference was attended and addressed by Maulana Khurshid Ahmad Kanangoo, Advocate Sher Ali Boda, Syed Saddam Hussain Uri, Maulana Akhzar Hussain, Maulana Syed Rehman Shamas, Maulana Ghulam Rasool Shoola, Maulana Altaf Rafiqi, Syed Shakeel Ahmad Qalander, Qazi Ghulam Rasool, Maulana Sajad Hashmi, Ajaz Ahmad Kakroo, Dr. Nisar Ahmad Mubarki, Maulana Showket Hussain Keing, Maulana Abdul Majid, Imam and Khateeb Khankah Sopore, Haji Reyaz-ul-Haq Madni of Dargah Shahadra Sharief, Syed Bashir Ahmad Qadiri, Naseer Ahmad Kawoosa, Dr. Ghulam Qadir Alaqband, Alhaj Abdul Samad Khushoo, Mohammad Shafi Makhdoomi, Alhaj Abdul Rashid Wadroo, Peerzada Fayaz Ahmad Tarbali.

All the scholars highlighted the contribution of Sufi Aulia-i-Kirams of Kashmir and underscored the importance of the high moral teachings of most revered and respected sufi saint Gous-ul-Azam Peer Dastgeer (RA). The scholars also highlighted the contribution of Hazrat Abdul Rehman Sharfudin, Bulbul Shah (RA), Hazrat Amir-e-Kabeer, Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA), Hazrat Peer Hamza Mehboob-ul-Alam (RA), the revered sufi saints who have build up this valley as a proud civilisation.
