Tehran: Senior Shia cleric announced that Khorasan Seminary is ready to hold an intimate and fraternal conference with Sunni brothers hailing the loyalty of Sunni Muslims for their sincere love of Ahlul Bayt (AS).

Grand Ayatollah Abbas Vaez Tabasi, head of the Astan Quds Razavi Foundation met with a group of Sunni elites and thinkers demanded for some intimate meetings with Sunni Muslims to discuss the issues of Iran and the world.

In this meeting held to mark the Islamic Unity Week, Ayatollah Vaez Tabasi called for a realistic and modern look at the developments of the system and said "Once we have found the answer start to improve the political, social and cultural issues of the country."

He explained the objectives of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) amounting invitation of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) to monotheism, confronting atheism, inviting to intimacy and fraternity, fighting superstitions and divertive thoughts, a feeling of honor against the enemies and domineering powers, boosting the spiritual aspects in people and fighting the grounds for materialism and aristocracy and formation of a solid Islamic system were among the aims of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)."

An authority in Khorasan Razavi Seminary stressed the Islamic system as a powerful system and said, "We have a powerful spiritual system which has broken down the glory of the enemy.

A member of the Expediency Discernment Council said, "Late Imam Khomeini (RA) called the Islamic Unity Week without any vicious objectives since he really believed in unity and solidarity of the Islamic nation."

He also said some minor political and ideological disagreements exist but for coming to an agreement on the issues, there are some principles which are common between Shia and Sunni Muslims.

Ayatollah Vaez Tabasi also counted listening to each other is the preliminary step for solving the disagreements.

He referred to the true loyalty of the Sunni Muslims to the household of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) saying,"The hearts of the Sunni Muslims is full of affection for Ahlul Bayt (AS); therefore, we can discuss our disagreements and also our new ideas."

"Let's prevent enemies to misuse the differences between Shia and Sunni," said the head of Khorasan Seminary and announced the Seminary is ready to attend a fraternal and intimate conference with the Sunni Muslims."

He reiterated to have a transparent stance against the enemies and added that "Sunni Muslims are our brothers" is not a political statement because they are really our brothers because enemies do not want Islamic Revolution to promote and that Muslim world becomes completely dependent to them.

He said the efforts of the enemies to spread sedition among Muslims are aimed at dominating the assets and the minds of the youths as well as our spiritual resources.

"All anti-Islamic efforts of the enemies have failed," said this member of Assembly of Experts of the Islamic Republic of Iran and expressed hope that, by maintaining unity, following the guidelines of late Imam Khomeini (RA), resisting the problems and also following the lifestyle of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Iran could take giant steps for promoting the Muslim community.
