Convention of doctors' associations to be held under Beti Bachao Abhiyan on Oct. 30 in Bhopal

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that awareness will bring about change in people's mindset about daughters. Daughters are not inferior in any respect.
Mr. Chouhan was talking to representatives of various doctors' associations of Bhopal who called on him here on Sunday. A convention of various doctors' associations of the state will be under Beti Bachao Abhiyan (Save Daughter Campaign) at CM House on October 30.
During the meeting, representatives of doctors' associations assured to extend utmost cooperation in Beti Bachao Abhiyan. Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan said that doctors are undertaking a positive work for a noble cause by getting involved in Beti Bachao Abhiyan. He said that this is a campaign of entire society and all sections should cooperate in it. Doctors can put in important contribution to curbing girls' embryo test. They can also bring about change in the mindset of people meeting them.
About 200 representatives of various doctors' associations of the state will take part in the convention to be held at CM House on October 30. At the convention, they will take oath for cooperating in Beti Bachao Abhiyan and creating an atmosphere for prevention of girls' embryo killings.
It may be mentioned that the State Government has launched Beti Bachao Abhiyan since October 5. Under the campaign importance of daughters in society is being underlined. The State Government has launched several schemes for protection and development of daughters.
Those present during today's meeting included Principal Secretary Woman and Child Development Department Mr. B.R. Naidu, Commissioner Health Mr. Manohar Agnani, Dr. P.C. Chandel, Dr. Amit Ganguly, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Dr. Shekhar Shrivastava, Dr. Anjali Kanhare, Dr. Shailesh Lunawat, Dr. Rajesh Chawla, Dr. Lalit Shrivastava, Dr. Rakesh Mishra, Dr. Anup Hajela, Dr. Arunima Bajpayee, Dr. Meeta Agrawal, Dr. Rajiv Mishra, Dr. Arun Kumar, Dr. Neel Kapur, Dr. Malik, Dr. Raja Methi, Dr. Ajay Acharya etc.
