Madhya Pradesh CM to participate in World Economic Forum meeting in China

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be on a nine-day visit to Republic of China from September 12 to 20, 2011 in order to participate in the World Economic Forum's annual meeting being held at Dalian city of China from September 14 to 16, 2011.

Mr. Chouhan will leave for New Delhi on September 11 and proceed to Hong Kong reaching there on September 12. He will leave Hong Kong for Dalian city of China the same day.

The World Economic Forum will witness participation of top business delegates, diplomats, scientists, social entrepreneurs, financial experts, economists and executive heads of world's renowned companies. The World Economic Forum will have a lively debate and discussions on the impact of economic, industrial and technological developments on consumer behaviour, business trends and financial markets.

Experts and business leaders will share their insights on future strategies. Issues impacting the economic scenario will be discussed in different interactive sessions. The cross cutting theme is Mastering Quality Growth.

The Chief Minister will participate in an interactive session on mobile economy and micro trends in economic growth on September 14. The next day on September 15, Mr. Chouhan will share his views on new approaches to food security and backlash to going global.

The Chief Minister will proceed to Beijing from Dalian on September 16 to participate in a forum organized there to showcase investment potential in Madhya Pradesh. Investors from prominent business groups have been invited to the Forum. India's ambassador in China Dr. S. Vijay Shankar will deliver welcome speech. Chief Minister will give keynote address. Minister for Industries Kailash Vijayvargiya will also speak on the occasion. Principal Secretary Industries P.K. Dash will give presentation on economic and industrial scenario of Madhya Pradesh. Members of the delegation will also share their views with the prospective investors on business potential.

The Chief Minister will leave Beijing for Shanghai on September 18. The next day, he will participate in Road Show for prospective investors. He will have study tour of Suzhou Industrial Park and on September 20 will visit Shanghai Urban Planning Museum. The delegation will return to New Delhi on September 21.

The delegation of the Chief Minister will include Minister for Industries Kailash Vijayvargiya, Principal Secretary Industries P.K. Dash, secretaries to C.M. Vivek Agrawal, S. K. Mishra and Managing Director Industrial Development Corporation Pramod Kumar Das.
