Madhya Pradesh CM invites Chinese industrialists for investment in state

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has extended an invitation to the industrialists to invest Madhya Pradesh during a symposium on "Investment Opportunity in Madhya Pradesh" organized at Hotel Raffles in Beijing on Friday.

On this occasion, China Council for Promotion of International Trade Vice President Mr. Dong Songgen was also present. The Chief Minister reached Beijing after holding talks with industrialists and business delegates at the two-day World Economic Forum programme.

Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan apprised the industrialists of economic growth and strong economy of India at the symposium organised jointly by Government of Madhya Pradesh, CII, Indian Embassy in China and CCPIT. He informed the industrialists about the efforts being taken for the investments in Madhya Pradesh. He said that the Madhya Pradesh is making a fast stride in development sector. A network of roads is being woven in every nook and corner of the State. He informed the industrialists about the availability of unexplored mineral resources and their balanced exploitation keeping the environment in mind. The Chief Minister extended an invitation to the industrialists to explore possibility in Madhya Pradesh.

Chouhan also informed the Chinese industrialists about the investments in cement plant, iron, benefaction and power plant in Madhya Pradesh. He apprised them of peaceful labourers, minimum man-days loss, labourers friendly policies, development in tourism sectors and other achievements.

Madhya Pradesh Commerce, Industries and Employment Minister Mr. Kailash Vijayvargiya mentioned the efforts of State Government for installing

LiuGong project at Pithampur in minimum time and appealed to the Chinese investors to take interest in this direction. Principal Secretary, Commerce, Industries and Employment Mr. Prasanna Kumar Dash gave a presentation on investment in the State.

On this occasion, China Council for Promotion of International Trade Vice President Mr. Dong Songgen said that there would certainly be more industrialization in Madhya Pradesh due to state government's industry friendly policies. He appreciated the government of Madhya Pradesh for making efforts in the direction of investment by the Chinese companies in the State.

LiuGong India Limited Vice President Hu Sang Fen said that company has project in Madhya Pradesh and has a good experience with the industry friendly administration of the State Government. He also praised the friendly approach and cooperation of Madhya Pradesh government and lauded the efforts of the Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Industries Minister for investments in the State. The Chinese Company LiuGong India, functioning at Pithampur industrial area of Madhya Pradesh produces heavy earth movers machines. The Company had inked an MoU with the Government of Madhya Pradesh in the year 2007. Within few months of the land allotment the company had started production.

Indian ambassador to China Mr. Jaishankar was also present on this occasion. Mr. Prasanna Kumar Dash proposed a vote of thanks to representatives of CCPI.

Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan will visit Tianjin Binhai high-tech area and apprise himself of production process of industries over there.
