HWF felicitates 100 meritorious Muslim students of South Assam

Assam South, Badarpur: Human Welfare Foundation New Delhi, PM Foundation Kerala and Fatima Health Care group recently felicitated 125 meritorious students belonging to Muslim minority community of Assam (S) at an award distribution ceremony held at Nabin Chandra College, Badarpur, South Assam.

The students were awarded for scoring more than 60% marks in Board Examination for the academic session 2011. Each student has been awarded a cash prize of Rs 1000 and Certificate of Merit.

Academic Excellence Award – 2011 is an initiative of Human Welfare Foundation (HWF), New Delhi. The Award for Academic Excellence - 2011 is meant to encourage the students to continue performing better in future. It is to motivate the minority students for performing excellently in their academic studies

Addressing the students and their parents, Chief Guest Ejaz Ahmad Aslam, Editor Radiance Viewsweekly, emphasized on the role of education in the development of our country. “HWF is making every effort to improve the quality of life of the neglected sections of this society through the Vision 2016 program,” he said.

The function was presided over by Zulfiqar Ghazi, President Al Ameen Foundation Badarpur. He congratulated the awardees and said that this award will be a milestone in their life and urged them to perform better and better so as to compete with this extremely competitive world.

A number of other dignitaries who attended the program included DFO Salmanuddin Chaudhary, Gumrah Assembly MLA Ataurrahman, National Coordinator Vision 2016 Salimullah Khan, and SIO South Assam.
