Ahmedabad: Muslims who came in large numbers at Modi's sadbhavna venue very recently have lost their love to Modi within a week as very few Muslims were at Modi's rally to hit out Governor which was held last Sunday.

Those, who had watched Chief Minister Narendra Modi in awe as he transformed himself from a Congress-baiting Hindu Hriday Samrat to a messiah of peace, brotherhood and amity at his Sadbhavna Mission, found themselves tongue-tied at the BJP maharally at Vastral.

Modi had clearly found his voice again — taunting, blaming and blasting the UPA government at the Centre. Gone was the solemn disposition with which he had talked of fighting injustice. It was a familiar tone he spoke, with jingoism rending the air and his fiery speech reverberating like the drums of war.

Even his body language demonstrated a change in his demeanour. Gone were the two hands that spoke of accepting suffering and taking one and all in his grasp. The aggressive gestures and his hardened tone showed that Modi was clearly flexing his political muscles.

The two faces of Modi were clearly evident. But there was one similarity between the two public meetings. Modi indicated that his newfound love for the Muslims is here to stay. At Gujarat University Convention Centre, Muslims had been invited to an air-conditioned hall. Yesterday. At Vastral, a special shamiana was set up for Muslims to protect them from the blazing heat, while the rest of the crowd suffered from the intolerable heat.
