Popular Front of India holds nationwide ‘School Chalo’ campaign

The Popular Front of India (PFI) is conducting a national level campaign called “SCHOOL CHALO”, to create awareness about the importance of education and the problems the community is facing because of the lack of education.

Popular Front of India, Jaya Nagar Division, Bangalore, surveyed around 1,450 houses in slum areas of Kalasipalyam, Illyas Nagar and Tilak Nagar and Rajendra Nagar. The PFI authorities identified nearly 78 students from very poor background who deserved to be helped. The PFI decided to adopt these kids and take care of their educational expenses for this academic year 2011-2012.

Programs were conducted at Neelsandra Bright High School (11 Am - 25th June) & Byrasandra Huda School (3 PM - 25th June) to provide fees to schools and aid.

Mohamed Shakif spoke about the importance of women education, evils of discriminating girl child with boy and evils of child labor, encouraged parents to focus on studies and think progressively.
